Neurological Rehabilitation

What is Neurorehabilitation?

Neurorehabilitation is therapy aimed to restore your functional abilities after an illness, trauma, or event that has caused brain, spinal cord, or nervous system dysfunction. Neurorehabilitation may include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Some patients may only need one service, where other may need all three services.

Benefits of Neurorehabilitation Therapy

  • “Team” Approach - Our therapists communicate with your physician about the findings of your evaluation and plan for treatment.
  • Working with (from evaluation through entire course of care) a therapist who specializes in Neurorehabilitation and has several years of experience in working with persons with neurologic conditions.
  • Equipment availability and space designed for persons with neurologic conditions. This equipment includes Vestibular Goggles.
    • Vestibular Goggles are infrared goggles used to identify the source of dizziness. This expedites diagnosis and recovery and directs the therapy course of care and medical management. Vestibular Goggles are helpful for conditions including episodic vertigo, positional dizziness, off balance
