Nursing at Independence Health System: Meet Brett
Meet Brett Fess, RN at Independence Health System. He's been with the system for five years and currently works as a system float nurse at Frick, Latrobe, and Westmoreland Hospitals.
"My favorite part of my job is the versatility of working in different departments with new learning opportunities everyday. The thing I enjoy about my job the most is the people that I work with. I can be myself and like other nursing staff, I have learned so much from working with others.
I began my college education at Westmoreland County Community College where I earned my nursing degree in 2019. I then began working as a Technical Partner for a few months before I accepted a full time RN position as a float nurse at Westmoreland Hospital, and I've now transitioned to a system float position working throughout Independence Health System."
