Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation

At Independence Health System, we take pride in offering multidisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation services. Our primary goal is to help our patients regain their independence and return to their daily lives as quickly and safely as possible.

Equipped with the latest technology and tools to aid in your recovery journey, we are adept at handling a wide range of conditions that require inpatient treatment, such as stroke, brain injury, orthopedic conditions, surgical recovery, neurological disorders, and more.

We understand that each patient's needs are unique; therefore, we tailor our treatment plans to suit individual requirements and recovery goals. We also work closely with your primary physician to make sure all your medical needs are being addressed. Preparing for Hospital Admission

Your stay with us begins with an assessment to determine the level of therapy that you require to re-learn certain skills of daily living. Your therapy will begin as early as your first day, with sessions at least five days a week. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care to help patients recover and regain physical independence.

We are proud to offer private rooms in our specialized rehabilitation unit to help patients feel more relaxed during their stay. Please feel free to also bring the following items along with you, to help you feel more comfortable:

  • Books, knitting, or other hobbies to fill your time
  • Toiletries and cosmetics
  • Glasses, hearing aids, and other personal items
  • Insurance cards
  • Three changes of clothes (comfortable pants or shorts)
  • Night/bedtime clothes
  • Robe/sweater
  • Sneakers
  • Extra blankets
