Featuring a variety of toys from building blocks and puzzles to video games, Austin's Playroom is a safe, cheerful, calming place for children to play with adult supervision while families visit patients.
Recognizing the challenges that families face in terms of child care during family medical issues, Mario and Nathalie Lemieux launched the initiative, which has raised the funds to establish more than 40 playrooms across the region. The initiative was created after the premature birth of Mario and Nathalie Lemieux’s son, Austin. Austin’s Playroom is located in the Butler Memorial Hospital, Tower Lobby.
