Westmoreland/Frick Foundation Presents New Award That Recognizes Work Ethic of Healthcare Workers

The first two recipients of a newly established Community Healthcare Work Ethic Award have been recognized by the Westmoreland/Frick Hospital Foundation with each honoree receiving a check for $1,000 and a certificate of appreciation. The award to be given annually is made possible by an anonymous donor who desires to recognize and reward outstanding effort by a healthcare worker who is employed by Independence Health System - Westmoreland area.

The award is open to healthcare workers at Independence Health System -Westmoreland area who consistently exhibit a deep-seated commitment to their patients and colleagues and go above and beyond the minimum requirements of their position. In the coming months, additional information will become available on the nomination and application process.

This year’s recipients are Brittanie Henschel-Newhouse, Orthopedics-Pellis Road office and Casey Neal, RN, OR First Assistant, Westmoreland Hospital. They are pictured with Ray Charley, president of the Westmoreland/Frick Foundation and Cindy Scarpo, foundation manager.
