Latrobe Hospital Family Medicine Residency 2024 Graduation

Independence Health System and the Latrobe Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program held graduation ceremonies in June for the latest class of resident physicians completing the three-year training program. Pictured center with the 2024 class is Michael Semelka, DO, residency program director. Three of the eight graduates will be remaining with Independence Health System while their five classmates are headed to fellowships, or primary care practices elsewhere. Pictured from left: D Vincent Ream, MD, will be pursuing a fellowship in Obstetrics in Augusta, GA, while Alexander Androkites, DO, will complete his Geriatrics fellowship at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh. Alex Smaracheck, DO, is remaining with Independence Health System and joining Delmont Family Medicine. So is Megan Cunningham Grandalski, DO, who is joining Mountain View Primary Care.

To the right of Dr. Semelka, Lauren DeLuca, DO, will be returning to her native Canada. Jeremiah Florendo. DO, will be remaining at Independence Health System as part of the Hospitalist group. Cole Miller, DO and Juan Almaguer, DO, are both headed to primary care practices in Bedford and St. Louis, MO, respectively.
