Independence Health System Enhances Access to Cardiovascular Services in New Castle

BUTLER, PA, Aug. 14, 2024 … Independence Health System is pleased to announce the expansion of its cardiothoracic, vascular and outpatient services at 2602 Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pennsylvania. Joining this location are Dinesh Bhaskaran, MD, FACS, and Justin Wallace, MD, MS, FSVS, RPVI.
Dr. Bhaskaran, a board-certified cardiac and thoracic surgeon, brings more than 25 years of experience in treating heart and lung disorders. His expertise includes high-risk coronary artery bypass graft (CAGB) procedures, transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), surgical management of cardiogenic shock utilizing various cardiac support devices, robotic lung procedures and complex aortic valve surgeries.
Dr. Wallace, a board-certified vascular surgeon, has more than a decade of experience in endovascular interventions, diagnosing and treating peripheral vascular disease and wound care. His expertise extends to diagnosing and treating venous disease, lymphedema, peripheral artery disease, renal/mesenteric artery issues, carotid disease, limb salvage procedures, AV fistulas/grafts for dialysis and aneurysms of the descending aorta, abdomen, and extremities.

Outpatient services at the New Castle location are available Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services include walk-in laboratory and EKG testing. Adult echocardiograms, carotid doppler, arterial duplex imaging and venous doppler testing are available by appointment only.
