Clarion Hospital Cancer Center Hosts Its 21st Annual Light Up Night

The Clarion Hospital Cancer Center, part of Independence Health System, is hosting its 21st annual Light Up Night celebration to honor patients, caregivers and community supporters. The event will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Clarion Eagle’s Pavilion, 81 Stonehouse Road, Clarion 16214. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. and conclude with a fireworks display.

This year’s theme, “Fighting Cancer Together,” emphasizes the collective effort it takes to treat cancer. Since 2003, the Clarion Hospital Cancer Center has provided patients with advanced treatment options, including cutting-edge surgical techniques and supportive therapies. The outpatient facility offers medical oncology services by a team of highly specialized providers and staff, certified in chemotherapy administration. Additionally, the Clarion Cancer Center provides top-tier radiation therapy and is an APEx accredited program through the American College for Radiation Oncology.

“We are excited to host the 21st Annual Light Up Night Celebration,” said Tracy Myers, RN, BSN, director of oncology services at Clarion Hospital. “This year’s theme ‘Fighting Cancer Together’ highlights our commitment to ensuring no one faces cancer alone.”

The Light Up Night Celebration provides cancer patients, their families and the community an opportunity to unite in support and remembrance of those affected by cancer. This event is open to the public, and RSVP is not required. There will be food, games and entertainment throughout the evening, with music provided by In Harmony.
