Anthony Cancro, MBA

With 20 years of expertise Anthony Cancro is an accomplished development professional, who has raised more than $450 million through strategic campaigns and fundraising initiatives to support nonprofits, healthcare, and higher education institutions.

A native of western Pennsylvania, Cancro returns to the area after serving as Senior Development Officer at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fla., where he played a key role in securing funds to support the institution’s mission and strategic initiatives.

Prior to that, Cancro held development roles at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Saint Vincent College, and global fundraising and nonprofit management consulting firm Graham-Pelton. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel College and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Cancro’s experience in relationship-building and fostering collaboration across teams to achieve growth and philanthropic goals will enhance the hospital foundations’ efforts to positively impact the system and the communities it serves.
